Coming Soon! November 20th
We will be out in Coronado again here in a couple weeks for the 2nd Annual Navy Diver Olympics. McP’s has been pouring cold ones and serving good hot meals to thousands of Spec War/Op personnel over the decades. We also congratulate Jessica on her new baby. Jessica mentioned she would be happy to throw in some tasty beverages as a show of support. Like most things anymore there is liability to be concerned about. Obviously, no alcohol prior to participation in the event. We aren’t going to be standing there with breathalyzers but if you smell like beer, or other, you have graduated to a spectator.
There were several mail pieces that went out to many different commands in the San Diego, CA area. If you received a letter, saw a poster or flier please post it in the passageway, locker room or other visible place as there is a slim possibility an extremely tough individual onboard might not be aware of the contest yet. The records have been set. The rumor going around is that Tiko might be extracted from some place around the globe and flown into the event covertly to defend his crown and pimp slap you with his 20 foot hand. Please review the record board before commenting. Don’t be scared just bring it on bad or don’t even bother. A special shout out to Chris Osman of SOG Knives who donated a box of very cool engraved knives and multi tools. Also another shout goes out to Vince and Eric at ESS for sponsoring again and giving us more kickass sunglasses for the event. Top 12 get knives, tools and hats from SOG and a sweet pair of ESS shades. $1,000 split for top 3 overall scores. $500, $300, $200. Just like last year. Plus, this year there will be an extra $100 for any record breaker. Lunges was added this year so if you win and do the most we will shoot you an extra $100 for the effort. I am telling you now, “STUDY THE NAVY DIVER TRIVIA OR YOU WILL GET BURNED IN THE END, PROMISE”
Please contact us, Jessica or Mel at McP’s if you can help us with the “Official” Pullup Bar, that was very cool last year…. and a couple outdoor lights. The rest will be a simple piece of pavement and determination to be the best.
Pays to be a winner!
