Pass the Hat

As a part of our commitment to taking care of wounded brothers and sisters in arms we have begun a pass the hat fund raiser. Iowa National Guard officer and Ranger Mark Lucas has begun by giving us his favorite “Tough Guy” pose with the hat. Mark then signed and dated the hat and sent HQ a photo along with $100. It is now Mark's responsibility to find someone else worthy of the hat. And another brother with $100 of course! High up sources tell us that current Navy Diver Olympics champion and Navy Seal Tiko Crofoot will be the next recipient. Back in the day, the old saying was: “Trust you with my life…just not my money or my wife.” The next warrior in turn will repeat the process until our goal is met. If you are given the hat and lose it? Well, you saw what happened to Osama Bin Laden. Our goal is to post as many pictures of the hat wearers as possible while having some fun and donating a little dough.
The mission is to raise funds for our foundation of choice, Wounded EOD Warrior Foundation.
Our goal this years is $2,000 and we have already raised $500. Sherri Beck and her team have been growing and helping out wounded EOD personnel with cash and support for years. Additionally, any products purchased through our ship’s store through the remainder of the year we will donate 10% to the cause. This is the least we can do, Sherri and team. Please help us hit our goal for 2011.
